چکیده
Salinity is one of the major abiotic stresses in plants. The aim present study was to determine effects salinity on relatively sensitive Zinnia elegans Jacq. ‘Zinnita Scarlet’ and tolerant marylandica D.M. Spooner et al. ‘Double Zahara Fire Improved’ through a comparative analysis morphological, physiological, anatomic, biochemical traits. Plants were irrigated at five levels salt concentrations (0 [control], 50, 100, 150, 200 mM NaCl) for three weeks one-day intervals pots under greenhouse conditions. stress plant growth parameters, ion leakage, loss turgidity, minimum fluorescence (FO’), nutrient elements, leaf anatomic stoma response application light abscisic acid perfusion, proline content, chlorophyll a, b total chlorophyll, carotenoid content investigated. Differences stages cultivar determined. Proline accumulation appeared be higher Double Improved (D.Za.F.I.) than Zinnita Scarlet (Zi.S.) low concentration salinity. After abscsic perfusion intact surfaces, stomata D.Za.F.I. closed earlier (7 min) Zi.S. (29 min). Ion leakage (32.3%) Na (0.9%) aerial parts increased dramatically Zi.S 50 NaCl treatment. Moreover, values photosynthetic pigments, elements all showed greater decreasing percentage compared Stomatal densities both abaxial adaxial surfaces decreased parallel with increase stress. Palisade parenchyma cell height thickness as increased. In D.Za.F.I., by up 100 while palisade cells high conditions (100 above). Recommendations future research include molecular-level evaluations how tolerance these potentially valuable ornamental cultivars.

Morphophysiological and Biochemical Responses of Zinnia elegans to Different Irrigation Regimes in Symbiosis with Glomus mosseae
Water deficit conditions, in addition to reduced water uptake, result in a reduction in nutrient uptake, and consequently, a substantial reduction in growth parameters, yield and quality. Substrate inoculation with arbuscular mycorrhizal fungi (AMF) as an environmentally friendly biofertilizer is an important strategy to improve the growth parameters and quality of products in such conditions. ...
متن کاملEffects of ascorbic acid on physiological and biochemical responses of Zinnia elegans L. to different levels of light intensity
The aim of this study was to investigate the effect of different light intensities and ascorbic acid on some physiological and biochemical characteristics of Zinnia elegans L. The experiment was designed as a completely randomized design in a form of split-plot with three replications. The treatments were consisted of three light intensity levels (600, 1200 and 1800 μmol m-2 s-1) as the main fa...

متن کاملThe Effect of Cycocel and Pot Size on Vegetative Growth and Flowering of Zinnia (Zinnia elegans)
Zinnia is a very attractive and beautiful ornamental plant due to the diversity of color and flowering period. The effect of cycocel and pot size was studied on growth and flowering of zinnia in a factorial experiment based on a randomized complete design with two factors: cycocel at 3 levels (0, 1000 and 2000 ppm) and pot size at 4 levels (10, 12, 14 and 16 cm) with 12 treatments and 3 replica...
